The Sole of Your Foot

"Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses." Joshua 1:3

It was a primitive custom to measure out by foot the land to be cultivated or built upon. The Israelites were to have only as much of that land as they actually trod with the soles of their feet. Theirs was a bountiful promise, but it was to be realized only by their own exertion.

Only as we march forward in faith, claiming the promises, do they become ours. We have the Bible, and may think we know it well; yet of this vast field of unlimited treasures we may in reality possess no more than a mere fragment. Only that which we appropriate to ourselves is our own. The same is true of the privilege and blessings of grace. It is limited only by the bounds we ourselves put upon it.

My Song - Your Praise.

Jesus, in dust and hay I kneel: stabled in deepest need. My only robes, Your righteousness; mercy my only plea. My light, your gaze; my song, Your praise. My hope and prayer, Your peace.

It's such a beautiful song.

Raene

She is my best friend, my sister, and my roommate. I can talk to her about anything. She's been such a spiritual encouragement to me. We've laughed so hard we've cried. We've stayed up late talking about something and yet nothing. We share everything. I'm so thankful for her. I'm thankful that God led us to be roommates.

"A real friend loves you no matter what happens. What are [sisters] for if they can't stick together in hard times." -Proverbs 17:17
