Well...my first week at Fountainview had officially ended! I don't regret coming one bit. Sure, not everything is enjoyable such as: sorting through expired spinach, washing dishes 2 times a day, catching up on the homework that was missed, etc. But everything is definately "character building".
While sorting through that slightly expired spinach and lettuce, I did occasionally find a good piece in the batch, but those few good pieces became covered in the slime of the ugly ones. They were not pure anymore and couldn't be used for the lunch salad.
It's the same with out walk in Christ. We, being Christians, are in the process of being refined. People would tend to consider the sincere Christian a "good" piece of lettuce. However, when we surround ourselves with people of the world..we begin to act as they. Our characters begin to be marred with the slime of the worldlings.
Be watchful as to who you accept in your circle of friends. See if your friends are bringing you closer to the heavenward way, or are causing you to ride a downward spiral to destruction.
Best way to get ahold of me - - bmuller@fastudent.ca or call the girls dorm between 7-9 pm BC time. (:
I am happy to hear you are doing well....I called the cafe this morning and asked for you. But alas you had left. have a good Sabbath...
